In the spring of 2021, Governor Kay Ivey and ALSDE set forth new graduation requirements beginning with the class of 2022. Alabama students expecting to graduate in 2022 and beyond are now required to apply for college federal aid (FAFSA) in order to get their diplomas or submit a waiver asking to opt-out of the requirement. Please contact your school for specific questions.
