High School Boys Basketball Tryouts were held on Monday, May 2 and Tuesday, May 3 from 4:00-5:30 PM at the Hayneville Road gym. Any interested student should have a current AHSAA physical on file in BTW Magnet Dragonfly or with Coach Smith prior to tryouts.
High School Cross County Tryouts were held on Thursday, May 5 from 4:00-4:45 PM at ASF Park in the center field (our normal location). Any interested student should have a current AHSAA physical on file in BTW Magnet Dragonfly or with Mrs. Gravatt prior to tryouts.
Students who attended BTW, Baldwin, Floyd, or Johnnie Carr Magnet are eligible to play at BTW Magnet next season IF they have been accepted and qualify academically and for magnet qualifications.
The week of March 21 - 25 was spring break. Students and faculty returned to campus on Monday, March 28.
Monday, February 21, 2022 was an asynchronous day for MPS students. Teachers reported to campus, while students were to be virtual (online). This was a regular school day, not a holiday.
All MPS schools, including BTW Magnet, conducted learning virtually during the week of January 17 - 21. Monday, January 17 was a holiday, and classes were held remotely on Tuesday through Friday that week. Though the building was closed, classes were still in session.
