Mrs. Adrienne Boykin
Hey Garrett Gators!
My name is Adrienne Boykin and I am a proud 2nd grade teacher who has been in education for 13 years. My passion is fueled inside the classroom, but my legacy and impact in education continues to spread far beyond the school walls. As a native of Montgomery, Alabama, I am an ambassador for school/parent involvement and a positive force for children and teachers. I am married with three boys. I received the Elementary Education award in 2010 from Faulkner University, the Golden Apple Award in 2016, and was named Garrett Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2022. I believe that “Every child needs a Champion” and every child deserves a teacher who will go above and beyond to meet their needs.

Ms. Cheryl Taff
Hello!
I am Cheryl Taff and I am a mother and a 2nd grade teacher at Garrett Elementary School. My teaching career began in 1989 at Dalraida Elementary in Montgomery, AL. My journey as a mother began in 1992. I had my son, Ross, in 1992, and my daughter, Laura, two years later. After teaching for 26 years, I am able to reflect on the impact I have had on so many lives. I have always treated my students with the same love as my own children. There are many reasons why I am passionate about teaching.. I want to make a difference in my students’ lives. I inspire, motivate and encourage children to accomplish greatness. One of the most important reasons why I teach is that I help students build their self-esteem and believe in themselves. Teaching allows me to challenge students to set big goals and aspire to make an impact in the world. I believe teaching is my gift. I am fortunate to love my career and I’m able to make an impact on many children throughout the years. These are just a few reasons why I teach.
