MONTGOMERY COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
The Montgomery County Board of Education (MCBOE) is the seven-member elected body governing Montgomery Public Schools. The board is committed to working together for the benefit of students and parents throughout the district. Along with the superintendent, the board establishes the vision for the district and enacts policies designed to prepare students for college, career and beyond. Each member serves a four-year term and represents a different geographical area of Montgomery County.
The MCBOE usually meets the second Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. Board meetings traditionally have been held in the Central Office Auditorium at 307 S. Decatur St., but more recently they have been held in the G.W. Carver High School Auditorium at 2001 W. Fairview Ave. in order to accommodate social distancing.
The MCBOE follows CDC COVID-19 safety measures at all board meetings. All attendees are encouraged to wear face masks or coverings, and temperatures are checked at the entrance of the building.
