• The MPS Magnet office will offer a second opportunity for students to apply for available seats in the following grades/schools:

     

    Baldwin Arts Magnet - grades 7-8

    Baldwin Academic Magnet - grades 7-8

    Carr Academic Magnet - grades 6-8

    BTW Arts Magnet - grades 9-12

    LAMP - grades 9-10

     

    Baldwin Arts Magnet and Baldwin Academic 6th grade is waitlist only at this time.

     

    Anyone interested in applying for these grade levels at these schools would need to apply online at https://magnet.mps.k12.al.us/login.  

    *Existing magnet students and students who have completed the first or second 2023-2024 application cycle and have accepted an offered a seat will not be eligible to apply.* 

     

    The requirements for the available seats include:

    Baldwin Arts Magnet - minimum unweighted GPA of 2.75 and an audition in two arts

    Carr Academic Magnet - minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5

    BTW Arts Magnet - minimum unweighted GPA of 2.75 and an arts audition

    LAMP - minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 

    *Grade 10 applicants must have completed Algebra I, Geometry, Honors Level Biology, Honors Level English, and one foreign language
