On June 9, 2015, Governor Robert Bentley signed into law the Alabama Accountability Act 2015, which sets forth new flexibility requirements for school systems and schools. The Act also includes a provision for financial assistance through an income tax credit to a parent who transfers a student from a public school to a non-failing or non-public school of the parent’s choice.
